Celebrating Frank Sinatra

On September 21st, the Norwegian Jazz Orchestra with Felix Peikli took to the stage of Oslo’s legendary Chat Noir theatre to honor none other than Frank Sinatra on what would have been his 110th birthday year.

With the velvet voice of Frikk Heide-Steen leading the way, the evening was a dazzling journey through Sinatra’s timeless repertoire: swinging big band energy, tender ballads, and that unmistakable swagger that still makes audiences swoon.

A full house at Chat Noir proved that Sinatra’s magic lives on, and the synergy between orchestra and vocalist made it an unforgettable night of music and storytelling.

This concert also marked the season opening of our series Jazz Noir - a celebration of classic song, smoky elegance, and the golden age of jazz, right here in Oslo. If opening night was any indication, we’re in for a season as timeless and stylish as Ol’ Blue Eyes himself!

You only go around once, but if you play your cards right, once is enough.
